Overview

Drilling equipment works under heavy load, vibration and abrasion, and connection or body damage quickly turns into lost rig time. Mersal Group maintains and repairs the drill stem components and handling equipment that keep a rig drilling.

From re-cutting rotary shouldered connections to inspecting handling tools, we restore equipment to specification and document every step.

Scope of work

How we work

Receiving & incoming inspection
Each item is logged, cleaned and photographed on arrival. We review its service history, previous certificates and the scope agreed with you.
Disassembly & assessment
Full strip-down followed by visual, dimensional and NDT inspection to locate wear, cracks, erosion and corrosion. You receive a findings report with the recommended work.
Repair & replacement
After your approval we carry out machining, weld repair or part replacement using traceable materials and OEM-equivalent spares.
Assembly & testing
Components are reassembled to the manufacturer's fits and torque values, then function and pressure tested.
Documentation & delivery
Equipment is returned with inspection reports, test charts and a certificate of conformance, ready to go back into service.
